Another Possible New Project

Posted by admin with 4 Comments

The Las Vegas Review Journal states that Hayden and Elijah Wood are both considered for this new role.

Last year an independent filmmaker came forward, and principal photography starts shooting Aug. 15, the 47th anniversary of the accident. The lead role is down to Hayden Christensen , who played Anakin Skywalker in two “Star Wars” films, and Elijah Wood, best known as Frodo in the “Lord of the Rings” franchise. Having been a part of the story for so long, Sheehan said “to see it produced is beyond a dream come true.”

Sheehan’s old story to become new film-
“Hayden Lake” is the story of Sheehan’s close friend, Pete Peterson, who spent half his life living down a boating accident that left two young girls dead.

The 15-year-old son of a Spokane dentist, Peterson was cruising his dad’s boat, a Tollycraft, across Hayden Lake, just north of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

New Project-Unknown Son

Posted by admin with 1 Comment

According to Mirror Images Hayden is connected to The Unknown Son. It begins shooting this August and is described as a cross between John Grisham thriller, “The Firm,” and classic film, “The Boys From Brazil.”

From Mirror Images The Unknown Son is an action-based feature film by writer/director Nicholas Gyeney. The film takes a unique approach to the art of filmmaking by combining action and character drama with a gritty and documentary-style aesthetic. The Unknown Son boasts a gripping story that combines the most exciting characteristics of the best conspiracy thrillers and action films to create a film not only entertaining, but relevant to today’s social and political climate as well.

The film’s storyline involves a young man, Noah Prentice (Hayden Christensen), who is thrown into a web of mystery and intrigue as he uncovers a massive plot born inside the walls of Kaiser Global, an American financial institution. The conspiracy leads Noah to remnants of Hitler’s Third Reich aiming to finally claim the victory they failed to achieve many years ago.

Jumper 2 ?

Posted by admin with 1 Comment

According to this article Jumper 2 is not happening. Take it with a grain of salt for the time being.

There have been a lot of rumours going around since Jumper was released back in 2008, that a sequel would be made with a release date set for around 2013. However, it has now been suggested that a Jumper 2 will no longer be happening after a the original cast failed to commit to a sequel.
The original cast from Jumper, including Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson and Jamie Bell have been reluctant to either confirm or deny wanting to be involved in a sequel and without the three main stars of the film, it looks highly unlikely that it will ever be made. Source

Brad Anderson on his ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’

Detroit a perfect setting for postapocalyptic ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’

Filmed in just 20 days last fall on digital video using the cost-effective Red camera, “7th Street” follows four strangers (Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo and 14-year-old newcomer Jacob Latimore) who try to regroup in a tavern after a huge blackout that has left the rest of the world in ruins.

Anderson says he liked Anthony Jaswinski’s script because “it’s not about monsters lurking in the shadows. The shadows themselves are the monsters. How do you pull that off technically so it feels organic and creepy? I liked taking on that challenge.” Source- Hugh Hart

Exclusive: Brad Anderson on the Darkness of ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’

Posted by admin with 8 Comments

Hayden Christensen leads a cast as Luke, a local TV personality who becomes the de-facto leader of a small group of survivors.

This is a pretty unique cast of characters. Can you discuss the casting choices?
The first one on board was Hayden. He just responded to the mystery of the story like I did and he was looking to play more of a merciless character that he hadn’t really played before. And I wanted to assemble an ensemble that was diverse and felt like they could be a cross-section of Detroit. Different ethniticies and classes of people so that the story took on a fable quality. It wasn’t just four frat boys trying to survive, but these were four kind of everyday people in this American city struggling to join forces to survive against this threat. Continue Reading ?

Motor City runs on empty

Posted by admin with 2 Comments

The producers of Magnet/Magnolia Pictures’ “Vanishing on 7th Street” found just the right city for their sci-fi pic.

“If you’re doing a post-apocalyptic theme, Detroit fits the bill,” helmer Brad Anderson said at Monday’s Cinema Society preem at the IFC Center. “Even if they didn’t have a 41% rebate, that town works for this movie thematically. It’s a place that really is suffering a vanishing of people and we didn’t have to do a lot to create that reality there.”

Hayden Christensen agreed: “There were so few people around, which worked well for our movie. Usually passersby come by and see you — and there was nobody.”
