Takers is #1 at the Box Office

Takers is #1 at the box office! Congrats to Hayden and cast!

‘Takers’ overtakes ‘Exorcism’ for weekend win.

Sony’s crime thriller “Takers” has overtaken Lionsgate’s horror pic “The Last Exorcism” for box office bragging rights from the past weekend.

Final official data released Monday show “Takers” took in $20.5 million, compared with $20.4 million conjured by “Exorcism.” That gave the competing wide openers the Nos. 1 and 2 positions, respectively, among all films playing in domestic cinemas during the weekend.

The rankings were reversed from Sunday, when initial studio estimates showed “Exorcism” with $21.3 million and “Takers” posted a preliminary $21 million.

So who’s going and how many times will you of have you seen it?

I saw Takers tonight and really enjoyed it. I defiantly loved the action, and thought Hayden did a great job too! The piano part really showed his music talent again. I did cry towards to the end, I’ll admit, but was happy how it all turned out. I’d defiantly recommend it!

From MTV Movies Blog : ‘Star Wars’ Series Comes To Blu-ray Next Year, Deleted Scenes (And More) In Tow
The biggest news of the show came on Saturday during the so-called “Main Event,” a one-on-one discussion between franchise creator George Lucas and Comedy Central fake news superstar Jon Stewart. Here it is: “Star Wars,” both of the trilogies, will finally be released as a Blu-ray box set next year. There’s no specific release date (just fall 2011) or price listed, but fans who have been clamoring for hi-def adventures in a galaxy far, far away (yo!) will at long last get their wish. In addition to the usual assortment of commentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, retrospectives and the like, we’ll also be getting some unstated amount of deleted scenes, stuff that just hasn’t been seen before. Takers Movie Premiere/After Party

The Takers movie premiere happens tonight in Los Angeles and be sure to tune in at the Official Takers Facebook to watch live from the red carpet. It all begins 6:30 PST, 9:30 EST.
