Takers Now in Theaters

Don’t forget to support Hayden by going to see Takers this weekend. I plan on going Saturday night and can’t wait! Feel free to post your thoughts and opinions below in the comments and or in the Takers thread at the Forum.
So who’s going and how many times will you of have you seen it?
I saw Takers tonight and really enjoyed it. I defiantly loved the action, and thought Hayden did a great job too! The piano part really showed his music talent again. I did cry towards to the end, I’ll admit, but was happy how it all turned out. I’d defiantly recommend it!

Well gang you KNOW I am going to see it at least twice and maybe 3 times JUST to see HAYDEN on the BIG screen instead of a TV screen! I’m getting ready now to go at the 4 pm showing and then again tonight at 10! Mmmm, maybe I’ll have to see it again Saturday…what can I say? I AM a HAYDEN fan!
I went to the Midnight showing of it and wow that movie was great. They all did a great job and Hayden was gorgeous in it and his acting was great. I would definitely recommend all of the fans go see it, the 6 characters are great together.
Hi! I’m italian and I must wait December to see Hayden on theaters!! I can’t wait! I’m going to look for Takers on the net and I’ll see it in English!! And then I’ll see it in Italian. I love Hayden and his acting!
i dont know if i can go :( we r moving on monday so i have to spend all weekend packing :’( i might beg my dad to take me to it though lol
Awesome movie guys! Not that I had low expectations of it but it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I mean really. Can’t wait for the DVD. I’m buying!!!
i just found out its not coming to my town till next week :(
Well guys and gals, we “invaded” the theatre at the 9:30 showing (a couple friends and I went to see it also at the 4 PM showing). GOD did we have FUN! When HAYDEN came on the screen we all yelled out, “ALL RIGHT!” and everyone in the theatre laughed. We grunted and groaned through the movie and got the crowd “into” it - everyone really laughed with the “goat joke”. I MUST say the “bare butt” scene was f-f-f-fine! Heh heh!
This movie is SO different, so unusually filmed and acted it made it quite entertaining and drew you into the movie even in an unusual way. (You were “there” before you were even aware). Of course the ending was not what we liked so we did one collective “NO!” and the crowd got into the act and answered us back! Ha ha! God, what a FUN, fun night! We all decided to go back either Saturday or Sunday night, just to see HAYDEN’S sweet face on the big screen ONE MORE TIME! We ARE all crazy right? Ah, heck, who cares, it’s worth it for HAYDEN and it’s worth it for all the fun with friends! GO SEE IT, it is AMAZING!!! And….ENJOY the heck out of it…it’s the only way to see ANY movie!

loved the movie saw it 2x already they all looked hot but hayden was the best,dressed really cool,need that hat.
Saw it last night! The theater was nearly full and it was in one of the LARGE ones too. Eye candy for the ladies but aw Hayden..supreme. Crazy action stuff (camera too close sometimes and very frenzy=like) but over all a good film and Hayden does well in it and looks….fine. VERY fine. Would like to chat with others after spoilers are no longer an issue.
Oh my goodness best group of smooth criminals I have ever seen, and that piano seen with Hayden awesome. I m going back next week.
I’ll have to wait a little bit more to see it!! =( They’ll start showing ‘Takers’ somewhere mid - September in my country!! =( I’ll just have to be satisfied with trailers and clips for now…and with the lovely remarks and reviews of my fellow fans… =)
Next Friday is the viewing date for me….can’t wait!!! The Man on the big screen again!
One of my favorite memories is AOTC in Imax. *sigh*
I went in with low expectations and I did like it in the end. Some things, like the dialogue, were cliché but not over the top.
Also the beginning was a bit slow and I was a bit bored, but the second half does pick up story and acton wise.
I was bummed (although I had been warned) that Hayden’s character, A.J., was not developed at all. A.J. is so underdeveloped he doesn’t even have a last name! An Ivy league man turned to crime -where did he go wrong?
The director has spoken about a prequel though, so Hayden better have more to do then.
Hayden sure did look so fine though. Suspenders, tattoos, hat and all.

Love the part with him hijacking the helicopter. And the fight scene with the C4 guys was intense.
I wish Hayden and Paul Walker would have switched roles so he could have gotten away with Gordon unharmed! However, at least Hayden went down in a blaze of glory.
Ok, maybe the articles were wrong but I thought I had read that Hayden and Paul were playing brothers in this film. But when A.J. dies, Paul’s character is not as upset as Michael Ealy’s character. Michael is crying and holding Hayden’s hand..so maybe Hayden and Paul were not playing brothers and Michael was just upset it all went to hell.
Yea, that whole heist was botched up. What a mess…..
I really liked the well developed story that Gordon (Idris Elba) had with his sister, Naomi (Marianne Jean-Baptiste). I had no idea Marianne was in this! She did a really great job. Their story was my favorite part of the whole movie.
Like I said, I was a bit bored in the beginning and it wasn’t till Mat Dillion was in the car with his daughter chasing Gordon that I started getting into the movie. That was crazy and nerve wracking.
Ok, who killed Zoe Saldana’s character? Was it Ghost or the Russians? I think it was Ghost. Part of his revenge. Ghost was giving her an unnerving look when he was in the truck.

Well just got back from seeing TAKERS and HAYDEN with “our group”. We have seen it 3 times now and it gets better everytime. The movie is very stylized and perhaps Stephanie didn’t get that but the beginning wasn’t really “slow” but rather building the plot as well as introducing you to the voluminous characters. I LOVE the filming on this! When HAYDEN is behind the bar shooting his gun and then tells Jake to “GO, I’m comin” he looks absolutlely A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! WOW! Wish they would have just held that shot for about 5 minutes! Whew! Anyway, this movie is FANTASTIC, especially for FANS. None of the “TAKERS” had a last name except for Idris and Ghost…that was the point - laying out the “heist part” of the story rather than the background of each character (THAT will be for another movie -hopefully). Tonight the crowd was SO into the movie that when Paul was going into the pool, everyone went “Woo-woo!” And during the fight scene with HAYDEN everyone laughed where they should have and “Wow-ed” when appropriate. When HAYDEN’S character went flying through the air everyone said “NO!” and when Jake’s girlfriend was found dead everyone said “OH NO” so it was quite a nice crowd and I DO mean crowd! For the last movie of the week-end it had the best numbers. I applaud T.I’s performance as well as Idris. Each charater had an extrememly important role and Chris Brown was even a surprise to me but of course, I went to see HAYDEN, what can I say? Don’t let anything deter you from SEEING THIS MOVIE, it is WELL worth it!

Stephanie - maybe you didn’t understand but the characters were not supposed to be “built” in this film, it’s all about the “heist”. The only ones that had last names was T.I. and Idris’s characters (I think) and they wanted it that way - it places the focus on the heist and what happens. Didn’t you just LOVE that one clip where HAYDEN says to Michael Ealy, “GO, I’m comin” - wish they would have “freeze framed” that for about 5 minutes! Ha ha!.
I want Hayden to play a less attractive character now. It would be easier to focus on the character and not how ‘beautiful’ or ‘hot’ or ‘cute’ he is. It might raise his ‘list’ grade a little higher. I mean WE know he’s a pretty good actor but we want everyone else to know too. Right??
I LOVE THE MOVIE.I WAS SAD WHEN HAYDENS CHARACTER WENT DOWN AFTER THAT SECOND SHOT THROUGH TO HIS CHEST. I DIDN’T THINK THAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN.
Just saw this today. Thought this was a GREAT movie and Hayden did AMAZING! I almost cried when he got killed. His character was so brave to let his boys go and finish the russians off and get killed in the process.
Ruth, if you go to imdb, all the characters except for A.J. have a last name. And it wasn’t all about the “heist”. Idris’ character had a well developed subplot. Ghost was after revenge. And you knew Jessie and Jake had a father in prison. They could have gave us a little bit more on A.J., and on Paul Walker’s character.
I was sad during that clip. I was like, “Damn it, he’s gonna die isn’t he?”

ATLQUEEN - good point! I agree, he needs to REALLY STRETCH in his roles now and play some “serly” characters! Of course NOW he will be 31 or so for the next movie and SHOULD begin to realize his maturity and give him the opportunity to really immerse himself in the characters. I DO think that with a lot of the young actors they need a wife or children to really broaden their outlooks. I noticed Jay Hernandez (who is married and they are expecting) was able to show more depth. I think you just HAVE to live life before you can get to a depth of character. I think that’s why people like Paul Newman and Jimmy Stewart was so very, very good with their acting!
Stephanie - I was just going by what I saw in the movie, sorry, I’ll check out that site and see the last names. I DID hear the director in an interview though and he said this movie was not character building particularly, it was about the heist and how it came about so I was taking his lead. I don’t think ANY of us wanted to see the “deaths” at the end, especially HAYDEN’S sacrific but, thank God, it’s only fantasy! Ha ha!
i almost cried when Hayden died, and when Chris Brown and Michael Ealy faced off the police officers like that, i almost cried too. I just wish A.J. would off had a story like the others. His piano playing was really good, his tattoos were hot, and his smiles weere adorable!
Does anyone know what song Hayden is playing on the piano? LOVED IT! Great movie!
