Detroit a perfect setting for postapocalyptic ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’
Filmed in just 20 days last fall on digital video using the cost-effective Red camera, “7th Street” follows four strangers (Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo and 14-year-old newcomer Jacob Latimore) who try to regroup in a tavern after a huge blackout that has left the rest of the world in ruins.Anderson says he liked Anthony Jaswinski’s script because “it’s not about monsters lurking in the shadows. The shadows themselves are the monsters. How do you pull that off technically so it feels organic and creepy? I liked taking on that challenge.” Source- Hugh Hart

I saw this movie at a preview screening the other night and I absolutely loved it. I really like the diversity of each character. It wasn’t your typical film filled with the same boring actors. The dynamics of Hayden, Thandie, John, and Jacob went perfect together. Everyone did a good job.
I agree Debbie. I really loved the film in this was one of my favorite performances by Hayden. I thought he displayed alot of raw emotion and he really made me care for his character. I like how he and the little guy eventually depended on each other.
I totally agree too!! I thought this was one of Hayden’s best performances yet. I really loved the film. It isn’t your typical scary movie/thriller. It really makes you think. I thought each character brought something special to the story! I will definitely buy it when it comes out on dvd/bluray!!!!
Yayyyyy! I’m not the only one! lol
