Why isn’t there the name of Hayden? His character is the protagonist.

As convenient as it is to release it on amazon and on demand before it hits theaters (not having to put up with loud idiots at the movies) it’s not a good move cause it’ll fail at the box office if people can watch it on their computer. I doubt online sales will be enough to cancel that out, especially since it’ll be distributed in limited release. Looks like an interesting movie, but a stupid decision by the film execs to do that.
Not trying to be pessimistic. Still love Den to death. And I can’t wait for Takers to come out on DVD. :)

Actually, a lot of the smaller movies are going this route any more with their releases and it does get them a bigger audience than they would get with just the very limited theatrical release that this is probably going to get.

I hope that’s the case because I want his film to do well. So many of his movies have been surrounded by drama, Awake not being screened for critics and then crucified by critics, Factory Girl delayed because Bob Dylan threatened to sue, Virgin Territory going straight to DVD (tho that was fine b/c it was below Den). I think his indie films are a lot better than his mainstream action films and I just think he deserves praise for them because he’s not the sh*t actor that people say he is.

I agree with diamondeyed: Hayden is a good actor and deserves the best.
About this movie I’m very confident and I want to hope that this particular release helps it

Unfortunately, I think a lot of critics/fanboys just have it out for him because he “ruined” Star Wars and they can’t see around that. I do agree that his smaller movies have shown off how good he can be as an actor compared to his bigger movies but not enough people have seen them.

  7. Comment by diamondeyed in January 6, 2022 @ 8:22 pm

LMAO at the fanboys. He didn’t ruin Star Wars. Star Wars ruined itself. George Lucas was responsible for that hot mess of horrific dialogue and over-use of CGI. And to be honest given how much Lucas butchered the films Hayden was actually decent. But the fanboys needed a scapegoat. People need to see small films like Life As A House and Shattered Glass because he was freaking awesome in those. He’s plays f***ed up, emotionally damaged characters exceptionally well.
As an aside I was pleasantly surprised with him in Takers. Because (don’t take this the wrong way) I HATED him in Jumper. He seemed completely disinterested in the role and I found David aggravatingly one dimensional as a character. But in Takers he was smart, sophisticiated, and edgy even despite the fact the film was not an indie.

Yeah those “whiny little babies” called fanboys just wanted Daddy Lucas to make the stories and films they wanted him to make (boo-hoo). They are so cruel to Hayden in that regard it’s really disgusting. I loved Hayden in Jumper, Doug Liman wanted a different slant to David, wanted him one dimensional as he was only supposed to be interested in himself and his “powers” with no thought to anyone else or anything else. Takers was quite a smooth and sophisticated movie that showed off Hayden’s stunt abilities as well as his ability to play “bad boys”. Hayden has really made good professional choices really as only 2-3 of his movies didn’t make their budgets. If you look at other stars their numbers on that line are quite numerous!

True. A lot of actors have numerous movies that bomb. And the hate for Den is disgusting. I was on his IMDB page and one person was like “he should’ve been killed at birth” and then another was like “he should’ve died instead of Heath Ledger”. It’s fine to dislike him as an actor, but to personally insult him in such a mean spirited manner is ridiculous. Yeah he’s loaded and lives on a giant chunk of land with a farm, but he’s still a person and hasn’t really done much to deserve such blind and obsessive hate. He’s so softspoken and down to earth. How can you hate that? The guy is freaking harmless.

People who wish death on someone no matter if they know them or not need professional help and are not worth it or be taken seriously. I just ignore the haters who obviously have a lot of time on their hands, need to see a professional and become medicated. I personally don’t care for Jake G. *ducks from flying objects* but I don’t take the time to wish death on him, that’s insane and sick.

Not Every fanboys hate Hayden… many fans of SW love his Anakin: on you tube there are many video about his character and Padmé, or about Hayden himself.
I know many many fan of SW love him.
IMDB is the stupid site for me: I don’t understand that it’s so considered, the members love only the american movies and it’s very difficult love the indie film american or no.
I prefer other site about cinema.

  12. Comment by Ruth in January 7, 2022 @ 1:56 pm

Yes, I would say almost a BILLION people DID like Star Wars but the fanboys feelings were hurt and they keep whining and blaming Hayden. I think you have to LIKE the indie genre to appreciate films because most films lately just do NOT have big budgets right now, it’s the economy. I really LIKE those films, they are much more interesing and take much more intelligence to understand them. Hayden will again get a big budget movie and act his heart out and truly prove these whiners wrong, it’s just a matter of time. Take heart Hayden, your fans LOVE your movies!

  13. Comment by Silvietta in January 7, 2022 @ 5:51 pm

Yes, I love indie genre, me too prefer those movies because they are more particular and interesting.
Me too I think that Hayden prove his talent in the big movies and indie movies.
The fanboys, that you talk, are very stupid and fanatic, they think to be Lucas: fortunatly there aren’t the majority of Star Wars Fans.
I stay in a italian community of Star Wars and many people, here, love Hayden and so for many many community in Europe;).
Yes, we love movies of Hayden;).
    Sorry for my english;), Ruth

Silvietta … WOW to think I am conversing with a gal in Italy, that is so cool! I think your English is just fine. I have heard from many countries in Europe including Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden and England and they just love Hayden Christensen as well! We are very proud of him as a human being and a very special actor. I’m glad to see that there are other people out there that love the indie genre as we do which is inspiring since it takes a special person to view them and take in what they were trying to say! God bless you!

Ruth, you need to calm down. You’re on every site making crazy comments and fighting with people over the things they’ve written about hayden. You’re making hayden and this site look bad when you do that.

  16. Comment by ATLqueen in January 8, 2022 @ 12:23 am

*gasps* Not my Ruth! I just can’t see it. She just doesn’t seem to fit the role you are accusing her of…..

  17. Comment by rikki in January 8, 2022 @ 12:32 am

I can show plenty of sites that she’s been on, ranting crazy messages, and fighting with people, but I don’t think we’re allowed to posts other links here. I like this site, and I think what she’s doing is a little inappropriate.

So excited for Hayden in this movie! I’m not sure if anything will ever top Life as a House or Shattered Glass, but I heard his acting was pretty great in it.

  19. Comment by Silvietta in January 8, 2022 @ 7:08 am

@Ruth= Thank you very much for your words. You are very nice ;). I agree with Atlqueen about you ;).
I went in Villa Balbianello for many times and also the guardian of “Villa” like very much our Hayden: he and his wife told me that he is so shy and gentle with everybody.
    God bless also you ;)
