Fun Facts: Ryan Phillippe was on the short list to play Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II � Attack of the Clones. "There was a part of me that really wanted the role," he told the BBC. "I got to test with Natalie Portman. I'm seven years older than her, which was dubbed too old. At 29, I was an over-the-hill Anakin." The part went to 21 19-year-old Hayden Christensen. Source.

People: Hayden Christensen has a hankering for hammerin'. That's what the "Star Wars" actor told Air Canada's in-flight magazine enRoute. "I recently acquired a farm north of Toronto and I just bought a big excavator and a dump truck and a Bobcat - construction toys," said the actor who played Anakin Skywalker in Episodes II and III of the George Lucas film series. "I plan to start building soon. I can't wait to go out there and move dirt and get my hands dirty."Source.

Cheri back on?: Even more exciting to me is the upcoming screen adaptation of my favorite book, Colette's 'Cheri."Asked about that project, Lange said, "Yes, it looks like it's a go, to be directed by Lasse Halleström, with Hayden Christensen [perfectly cast as the ultimate boytoy] and Angelica Huston. There have been a few other film versions of this and, of course, Kim Stanley [who played Lange's mother in 'Frances'] did it on Broadway. Can you imagine Kim in that?" Source.

Jackson Almost Done With Jumper: Samuel L. Jackson told SCI FI Wire that he's almost finished filming his part in Toronto in Jumper, a movie about teleportation that reteams him with his Star Wars co-star Hayden Christensen.
"Jumper is going to be really cool," Jackson said while promoting his upcoming supernatural horror film 1408. "It's a film about kids who can teleport. I play a government agent that's sort of chasing them and killing them and kind of hates kids that can do that because they leave these interesting rips in the atmosphere when they do it."
Jumper is based on a novel by Steven Gould and adapted by Batman Begins screenwriter David S. Goyer. The film is directed by Mr. & Mrs. Smith helmer Doug Liman.
"That's still kind of going on, so I'm back and forth still shooting stuff for that," Jackson added.
Jackson said he likes SF genre movies, but he's not wedded to those kinds of movies. "I'm actually in something where people teleport, and it's kind of like, 'Great. OK,'" he said. "And I get to chase them. Yeah, OK. I can't do it, but I can chase them. And then when I catch them I get to beat them up and kill them. Kind of cool." Jumper is eyeing a Feb. 15, 2008, release. Factory Girl" Rolls Off The Assembly Line: On Tuesday night, Village Roadshow hosted the DVD launch of "Factory Girl" (2006), in Sydney. The biographical film stars Sienna Miller as Edie Sedgwick, Guy Pearce as Andy Warhol, and Hayden Christensen as Billy Quinn. The film did not get a theatrical release in Australia, but will premiere on DVD here on 15 August, 2007.

Mention: His last movie, the excellent real-life journalism scandal movie Shattered Glass with Hayden Christensen and Peter Sarsgaard really ripened the second time around on a smaller screen. Continue Reading ?

New Layout: As you can see we finally have a very cool and beautiful new layout in honor of the site turning 5 years old. Thanks again to Stacey for creating it. I hope you like it as much as I do. Our very own star factory: And, in a galaxy far, far away from Anakin Skywalker, Vancouverite Hayden Christensen appeared on a couple of episodes of Goosebumps, the Toronto-lensed family horror series based on the writings of R.L. Stine, that originally ran from 1995 to 1998. Source.
