Takers New Release Date

Looks as if Takers has been pushed back yet again. Instead of being released in May, the date is now set for August 20th.



Sony’s Screen Gems Moves Around Schedule

Sony’s Screen Gems has made a few changes to its release schedule today. First up, the studio is moving comic book adaptation Priest back from Aug. 20 to Jan. 14, 2011 and it will now be released in 3D.

With that change, Screen Gems has pushed back Takers from May 15 to Aug. 20.

    Makes sense. Up against all the huge films that come out in the summer, it would get crushed at the box office. Or maybe they need MORE distance from the whole Chris Brown problem.

    It is annoying that they keep pushing it back but thank God it’s not undergoing 3D upgrades. The whole 3D madness is getting out of hand, in my opinion.

    With luck the delay means they can change the very bad photoshopped poster–that would help. My Grandmother could do a better job.

    What pushed back! Noooooooo! a group of us were going to see it for valentines day.
