FACTORY GIRL-THE SOUNDTRACK:It was with anticipation and trepidation that I entered the Variety Screening Room a couple weeks ago to join a full house of San Francisco film critics to watch the first Bay Area screening of Factory Girl, the Edie Sedgewick biopic. Read MORE ?

PEOPLE MAGAZINE:In the March 05, 2007 issue of People Magazine, they mention Hayden. They make a comparison of his performance in Star Wars to the star of the movie Robin Hood. "Only instead of Hayden Christensen peering out from beneath his hood, you have an actor named Jonas Armstrong, who looks like Justin Timberlake in burlap". Thanks again Barb!

RECCO OF THE WEEK:Shattered Glass-In many ways, the film itself is an honourable effort, but I urge you to watch it for different reasons -- watch it for Hayden Christensen's fantastic performance as Stephen Glass, for Peter Sarsgaard's layered performance as Glass' editor, but really watch it mainly because it's such a gripping story. You'll find it on DVD at your local library, rent Shatterd Glass and trust me, you won't be disappointed. Read MORE ?

OC STARS:Former cast-members Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson can both be seen in separate upcoming movies with sexy "Star Wars" alum Hayden Christensen. Barton will play Pampinea in the period piece "Virgin Territory" about a group of young Florentines who take refuge in the Italian countryside, amusing one another with stories of love and adventure, as the black plague devastates the city. Rachel Bilson has recently completed shooting the sci-fi movie "Jumper" about a teenager from an abusive household who discovers he can teleport from one place to another. SOURCE ?

FACTORY GIRL:Factory Girl is looking pretty wonderful. With Guy Pearce as pop artist Andy Warhole, and Sienna Miller apparently turning in a powerful performance as Edie Sedgwick, and even Anakin himself playing a Bob Dylan-alike character, this could be one to see. I'm personally fascinated by the subject matter and the trailer makes this film look gripping. Read ALL ?

BACK IN THE DAY:Hayden Christensen kicked off his career by appearing in a Pringles commercial when he was eight. Hayden used to be a tennis ball boy, and he once accidentally interupted play during a John McEnroe match. SOURCE ?

INTERNATIONAL ISTANBUL FILM FESTIVAL:The 26th International Istanbul Film Festival will be held between March 31st and April 15th. This year, 235 films will be shown and 15 films will run for the "Golden Tulip" award under the theme "Arts and Cinema". Among the films competing for the "Golden Tulip" Award in 2007 are George Hickenlooper's "Factory Girl" starring Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce and Hayden Christensen and Joachim Trier's "Reprise". FILM OF THE WEEK:Perhaps most interesting is the character of Billy Quinn (transparently based on Bob Dylan), who is just as quick to seduce Edie and then abandon her when he has had enough of her frivolous nature. WHAT'S BAD? The only downside to Factory Girl is that the story of Edie and her drug-ridden flame-out is never quite as interesting as those of the two characters central to her life - Andy Warhol and Billy Quinn. JUMPER:Bilson's ambition and attitude are paying off. Her next role is the lead in Doug Liman's science-fiction thriller Jumper. Jumper also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Hayden Christensen and Jamie Bell. Not too sure if Anakin Skywalker or Billy Elliot will do it for Bilson, but then this is young Hollywood. SOURCE.

MOVIES YOU CAN WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN:SOME movies are worth more than a single watch... because you want to relish the moments, because you cannot get enough of them and because you want to notice the quirky little things about them you missed the first time around because you were so busy looking at the storyline. HOLLYWOOD COMES TO NEWPORT:On March 2, he came back to their house to take pictures of the ice and sent them to Mr. Liman. The next day, a film crew of about 20 people, including actor Hayden Christensen, flew into the area and began filming the Siberia scene for the movie "Jumper." The couple said neighbors came by during the filming and were surprised to learn a movie scene was being filmed in their small community. Their 11-year-old grandson, Elijah Rothenberger, spent the night so he could be part of the action. Elijah liked the experience. "I thought it was pretty cool," he said. "I took a picture with Hayden and he was really nice." The movie stars Hayden Christensen, best known for playing Anakin Skywalker in the recent "Star Wars" trilogy, and Samuel L. Jackson. STAR WARS STAR TO SHOOT IN 'PEG?:Rumours are swirling that Star Wars cutie Hayden ~~Christiansen~~ Christensen will be in town next month to shoot a biopic based on the life of Wisconsin "Poker Brat" Phil Hellmuth, the youngest ever winner of the World Series of Poker. Titled The Madison Kid, the flick was written by Hellmuth's real-life pal Bob Soderstrom and is the source of some angst for tourism-types in Wisconsin, according to papers there. READ MORE ?
