After reading everyone?s fate, Daisy decides to read her own cards because the full moon was out and she just couldn't resist the temptation of reading her own fortune. As she sets up the cards, her hand is suddenly comes to a halt, when she reveals her last card : DEATH. At the same time of her card reading, Daisy's parents had just left a social gathering and was heading home. Her mom and dad were clearly drunk but decided to drive home anyhow. The car starts to speed down the curvy road as the couple argued about Daisy at topic that seems to cause them to be very upset. While argue, the car slides off the road and plows into a tree killing Daisy's mom. News is sent back to Daisy and Peter forces Daisy to go to her mother's funeral against her will. It was a two day drive, so Peter decides to ask Sophie to take Daisy, who reluctantly agrees. While packing for the trip, Shelby decides to comfort Daisy in her time of need by offering to come along. With Roger in charged, the Cliffhangers are assigned to read Frankenstein. Each of them are to find something within the book that they could relate to their own experiences. Being dyslexic, Auggie makes a painting of how the book appeals to him. Juliet relates to the book's character ?Frankenstein? because he was the creator of the monster and in a sense it was kind of like her mother, who created her. While Ezra analyzed the monster as being loved by everyone until they saw his hideous face. Daisy visits the spot where her mother was killed, along with the grave site to find if there was anything there to make her cry for her mother. Her father is furious because she came to the funeral dressed in goth because she was didn't want to reveal her real self and decides to hide behind her makeup and outfit. After leaving the funeral, she feels guilty and returns as herself. As she stood in front of her mother's tombstone she finally tells her mother how she truthfully feels about everything. It wasn't until she saw her father who gave her something to remember their past by. While riding back with Sophie and Shelby, Daisy started to open what her father had given her only to find an old photo album full of pictures of the three of them and the good times they shared. She had finally found something that had allowed her to cry for her mom. |
