Leah’s Encounter

Leah met Hayden at the LAX airport on March 25, 2005

On March 17th, 2005 at about 2 pm I was at LAX airport flying to Sacramento to play at Arco Arena for state championships, which we ended up losing, but I was proud of my team even though we lost. We got that far which was the most amazing thing ever in my basketball career. So ya I was at airport with my team at our terminal. We go off to get food and I decided to get some CPK for some reason.

As I was headed that way, I turned my head and I saw a guy who I swear was Hayden Christensen; I noticed the second I saw him by his seeing his eyes. I wanted to go to the food place and maybe I could see him around the area but I was too nervous and I didn’t wanna just scare him. I was decided whether I should get some pizza and look for Hayden after or just go up to him that second, but when I decided to look for him I lost sight of him. When I went to McDonald’s where all my teammates were, I tried to see if I could see him on the way , but I couldn’t find him anywhere and I got some food with teammates hoping to see him again. As I returned to my terminal all sad thinking how stupid I was for not going up to him at first, when I lifted my head to see people around and to see if I had any hope of seeing him again, I finally spotted him, which I have to say it made me wanna piss in my pants. .

As I see walk to the terminal right across our terminal; I jumped off my ass and asked one of my teammates to go with me and stuff. As we walked towards him I just felt all this adrenaline pumping in my blood and feeling all nervous the closer I got to him, thinking how unreal and ironic this was. Then we went up to him and she ask if he could take pic with me. He was like “sure!” and omg I swear when I handed my digital cam to his friend who took picture. As he came by my side and put his empty hand on my side because he was carrying his smoothie, I placed my hand on his Levis Leather Jacket which smelled nice actually. I was so nervous that I couldn’t even place my shaky hand on his back anymore cause I was just so hyped up. After the guy showed us the picture which was taken directly at 1:46 pm ; my camera labeled it as , I kinda did this funny Napoleon Dynamite thing where he says “Yeeessss” in a funny way and Hayden and people laughed. I had told him, I’m excited for Star Wars and thanked him. They asked if we were playing somewhere; We told them that we were going to Sacramento to play for State championship and they were so amazed.

Hayden wished us luck which was sweet of him and then we went back with team. The funny thing is that he was like at his terminal like 45 minutes with not one single person coming up to him. I was sitting on the floor with friends eating my food and I still got some nice glances of him before we both left. I had found out that he was going to Vegas for Show West to receive an award for actor of Tomorrow. Everyone on the team told me that they wouldn’t have noticed him the way he dressed up and look. Sadly we lost our game but I’m so happy that this moment happened and funny thing was that I talked to my other friends the other day, how I really just wanna meet him and that maybe it was possible that I can see him LA which I finally completed my goal for meeting him. I know it was possible to get his autograph but then I realized that taking a picture was the best thing to do, so that I could cherish the moment I met him and be able to prove that I met him.
