More of her encounter pictures can be seen Here. I'm finally getting a chance to write to you and send in pictures that I took of Hayden and his car on the flatbed at the Hilton in Toronto at around 1AM in the morning of July 24, 2006. My experience with running with the Bullrunners was surreal! It all started out with the idea that I just wanted to "see" Hayden and all of the other cars drive by. It turned into more than that. I found out that they were going to be in Toronto by sunset. I knew exactly what route they would take, I just didn't know at what time. I started out at about 3:30 PM on route from Rochester, N.Y.. It's about 3 hours from Toronto and only about 1 and a half hours from Syracuse. If I had only had a crystal ball. But, Ididn't do so bad ononly going on a hunch to find Hayden. We pulled over at a rest stop near Buffalo. Found out that no action had taken place yet. We then started en route to Niagara Falls. Again, we waited, but there was nothing. Finally, about 6:30 we were back tracking and they they were! We were so exciterd. We turned around and followed them all the way to Toronto. We were looking out for Hayden. In the meantime we were thrilled by watching all of the luxurious vehicle whip by us. Trying to see who was driving them was so fun. We ended up following this beautiful F360 red Ferrari all the way into Toronto. Keeping up with that car was a challenge. We even found ourselves airboure for a minute! As we drove through Toronto we saw other cars and followed them right to the Hilton Hotel. We parked and went over. A picture that I sent in was with me and Cory Heim(or is it Haim). He lives there and was waiting for Cory Feldman. Then, we saw Carl Lewis. No Dennis Rodman, Mario Andretti or Paris Hilton. But, that was okay, we just wanted Hayden. Cory H. came over and said that the drivers should be in a half and hour. By, then it was 10:30. Then, I met the driver who was responsible for Hayden's first ticket. He said he raced him in the morning and was clocked at going 120mph when he got his ticket. Then, I met the guy in charge of the event. I asked him about Hayden. He called Hayden right in front of me. I almost died! He said that Hayden would be about 20 more minutes. We waited longer. Then, we met Karen, who said that she knows Maria. Then, we noticed across from us were Hayden's parents waiting for him. Hayden arrived in the tow truck and his car on a flatbed. He came walking by. My sister said, "Hayden!, hi, we are all real big fans. He said Hi and said that he had a long day. He told us how his transmission blew and that there were a lot of problems. I actually said, "you poor sweetheart, are you okay?" Very modestly he said "Yeah, I'm alright". Then, I told him that we had been waiting for 3 hours. He actually said that he was sorry about that and had some people to talk to. (Meaning his parents, hotel personel, etc.) I told him that it was okay and that he could take his time and we understood and would wait. After about five or so minutes, he came over and shook hands with us. We took pictures and he signed our Bullrn t-shirts.We promise him that he will never see them on E-bay. We asked him what new projects he's working on. He looked at me with those beautiful eyes and said " I don't know, you tell me." Then he gave his trademark smile. I wanted to melt. I told him that he was wonderful in Star Wars and again he gave a nice smile. I had so many questions but, then he was told that he had to go. He got back into the truck and he was gone. It all happened so fast. I just have to say that meeting him was so wonderful. He was so down-to-earth, sweet and kind. I just can't say enough good things about him. Except that I hooked now and that I would love to meet with him again in the future and be prepared with questions, etc. My sister and I both met Hayden late last night up in Toronto as his beautiful blue Ferrari was being pulled in on a flat bed truck. His transmission blew in Syracuse, N.Y. He didn't come in until around 12:30 in the morning. But a very gracious and exauted Hayden was nice enough to sigh autographs and take pictures. He is so wonderful and sweet! The nicest guy you could ever meet! I will be sending in pictures and writing more to you about our experience with running with the Bullrunners! |
