There are more important things in living your life than carrying on or worrying about a website. We, the fans, would like an archived page at least. If you don’t have time or priority for it then I can understand if you let it go. And it’s ok and nothing to feel guilty over. You’re not wasting anything by letting go of something. People put lots of years of creativity into their homes and still they sell their homes and move on for something better. It’s really only the fans who are going to say that you’d be wasting it away by getting rid of it. In truth it’s not a waste. Your efforts you put into this website is the same as it was even if you get rid of the photo gallery. I think you ought to listen to yourself and not us fans. If it’s going to take up your time or distract you from your life that you want to get on with then don’t worry about this website. The website was great but it is not your life. Your life is more valuable. Do what you have time for and what you feel is best for you.

Your website was fabulous by the way. It was the best Hayden site out there. There are other good ones now like Hayden fan News and others. But still this was the first and the best of them all. You have learned much from having a website and maintaining one. I’m sure you have acquired all of these wonderful skills to help you in your career. And I know you’ll have a wonderful future with your family. Take care of yourself and be good to yourself. That is all that is important.

You should get to where you are wanting to go in your life and do it as painless as possible. That’s why I suggest to archive your site and have a friend to watch over it. You don’t need anymore to do with something your heart is not in and where your priorities have changed. At the same time there are plenty of people who are just waiting to take things over in the name of Desiring Hayden. You might trust them, but oh dear… too many friends are lost over things like this. Exactly the reason if I were you I’d just archive the dear photos for the care of another to watch over. Walk away for your life purposes which is far better for you. That’s more important. And be proud of what you’ve done and then enjoy your life. Don’t feel guilty for walking away. You should be proud of what you’ve done.

My personal legacy has been the memories, particularly staying up late into the night awaiting live reports from Hayden’s premieres etc. and sharing the excitment on the forum which has led to continuing friendships across the globe.

As to what to do with the site, in the end it’s your baby and the decision, what ever it is, I think should be made in your best interests.

it’s not really up to the fans. you know what they want. it’s about what you want and are ready to live with. you’re the one paying for the website. you’re the one putting your time, effort and thoughts into it, basically your life. if you want it, keep it even if you have to give it to someone else maintain. just do what ya gotta do. your the decision maker. no one else was even really visiting the site dear. and it’s not because of you or because of anything you did. it’s not because you weren’t appreciated. you were. it’s because of lack of interest during a very quiet time. and life has gone on for everyone else – even for hayden. and he’ll have his big moments i’m sure and he’ll hit the quiet times like everyone else. so whatever is important to you, is what you should go for. i just wouldn’t make a big deal about it. i’d hand it over to someone else to take care of it if you don’t want to lose anything. and live a very happy life. think of you first, this time. then let this place go to whomever you want to take care of or let it go altogether. i’m sure you’re a sweet person cause i can see you hanging on a little bit.

I think I was 17 when I first visited your website, since then I followed your posts regularly.
Now, I’m turning 26 and I realize I kind of grew up with this site which was my number one source about Hayden until today !

I can’t even imagine how many hours you’ve worked on it during all these years.
You always provided it with exclusive media, HQ pictures, not to mention the “birthday projects” you’ve set up, etc…
Your dedicated love and work for this fansite is just amazing ! So I may say it’s not only a website that I would be missing, but a little part of me too, I guess it would always refer to a period of my life.

I would feel selfish to tell you not to close the website. If it was your first decision, it means that you need to close it. It’s been 10 years, after everything you’ve done I think you deserve to move on.
Besides, if you can no longer spend time on it, this passion may risk to become a chore, which would be a shame.

I guess the wiser decision for you and the fans would be to let your friends take care of it if it’s what they want.
In this way, you’re not abandoning your “baby” and will always be able to keep an eye on things from a distance.

No matter what decision you’ll make, think of what would be best for you first, alright ?
