Hayden was featured briefly on Dateline NBC last week and here is a transcript of his part.

Once a thriving city, Detroit is now a shell of what it used to be

HANSEN: (Voiceover) And in a desolate area near downtown, there’s a restaurateur who’s opened a French bistro, an improbable success. The movie industry is an unexpected one. Thanks to a generous state tax break, Hollywood has been shooting scores of films in the Detroit area. Like “The Vanishing on Seventh Street,” starring Hayden Christensen of “Star Wars” fame.

The Force is Everywhere on Teletoon in March

The Force will be felt on air and online as all the might of the Empire and cunning of the Rebellion take over TELETOON and teletoon.com this March 2010.

Beginning March 6, 2010, TELETOON will broadcast all six of the live-action STAR WARSTM movies in narrative chronological order. Viewers can also catch up with the hit television series, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, as episodes from the first season air in a special after school time slot from March 15.

On Air – STAR WARS Movies

Beginning March 6 with Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, TELETOON will air all six live action STAR WARS movies on Saturday nights at 7 p.m. Featuring stunning visual effects, innovative sound design and an epic storyline, the six films follow the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker.

· March 6, 7 p.m. Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace

Anakin Skywalker is only a child as he embarks upon the journey that will ultimately lead him to his destiny as Darth Vader. Starring Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson. The Saga begins at 7 pm on Saturday, March 6.

· March 13, 7 p.m. Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones

Anakin Skywalker has grown into an accomplished Jedi apprentice, and he faces his most difficult challenge yet as he must choose between his Jedi duty and forbidden love. Starring Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson.

· March 20, 7 p.m. Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith

Torn between loyalty to his mentor and the seductive powers of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker turns his back on the Jedi, thereby completing his journey to the dark side and his transformation into Darth Vader. Starring Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson.

It looks as though the True Hollywood Stories: Canadian Hollywood Heartthrobs is being shown everywhere on the E network, but in the US and Canada.

Ryan Gosling. Ryan Reynolds. Hayden Christensen and Scott Speedman. It’s not just their smoldering good looks and extraordinary talent that these Canadians have in common. Through exclusive interviews with those closest to these in-demand celebs and revealing interviews from our Canadian Heartthrobs themselves, THS Canada finds out how our break-out Northern hotties get past the bullies, hook up with the A-list actresses and still stay true to their Moms.

It will air in the UK on Sky (Channel 152) this Monday at 9.00 pm.

Star Movies Fan Fest 09

STAR Movies brings yet another fantastic television event, Fan Fest 09, a celebration of non-stop blockbusters on the channel (Astro Channel 413), airing from tomorrow to Aug 31.

Fan Fest 09 promises something for everybody on Star Movies every night at 10pm throughout next month and August.

Hayden Feels The Force on Alex’s List

There are worse jobs than interviewing movie stars and Alex Zane knows this.

As the infectiously enthusiastic frontman of Alex Zane’s Guest List, the DJ and presenter brings his love of all things silver screen to one-on-one’s with the biggest and best celebs, every Thursday at 7.30pm on Sky Movies Premiere & HD.

In a film spin on Desert Island Discs (Desert Island DVDs?), guests choose four of their all time favourite movies playing on Sky Movies and Sky Box Office, and sit down for some clued-up chat with the self-confessed Burt Reynolds addict.

Hayden Christensen may always be known as Anakin Skywalker, the future Darth Vader in the Star Wars prequels.

But, holding court on Alex Zane’s Guest List this week, he reveals why Jumper proved a more hazardous shoot, leaving him with the nickname “One big eye”, and both he and Alex relive the time they (separately) attempted to “do a Cool Hand Luke” and munch through 50 hard boiled eggs.

Hayden decided 15 was un oeuf, while Alex coughed up a “eggy furball”.

Amidst the movie banter, Christensen proving his good taste by choosing four class films currently playing on Sky Movies, the actor reveals a fondness for pot-bellied pigs. Apparently they smile when you tickle their tummies…

My thanks goes to Lyndsay for letting me know that Hayden was featured on Alex Zane’s Guest List. Here’s what she wrote.

This morning, on a show called Alex Zane’s Guest List (I’m in the UK so I’m sorry if you have this in the states too) Alex Zane interviewed Hayden and it must have been from only a week ago. I don’t really know if this holds any relevance, but I’ve found out he has two baby pot-bellied pigs called Buddy and Petunia and his 3 favourite films are Beverly Hills Cops, Cool Hand Luke and Galaxy Quest. Thanks again for sharing with us Lyndsay and if anyone catches this online, let me know!

As I told you a few updates ago, MTV will air all six episodes of Star Wars this weekend!!!

What are you doing this weekend? Actually, don’t answer that. I’ll tell you what you’re doing this weekend. As a Memorial Day weekend treat and lead-in to this Sunday’s episode of Behind the Screen, MTV will be running all six Star Wars movies between Saturday and Monday. If you’ve seen George Lucas epic space fantasy, then you know exactly why you should be tuning in. If you don’t well here are all the reasons you need to settle in with some popcorn for a long, lazy weekend in front of the TV.

Hardcore Star Wars fans like me have some issues with George Lucas’s approach to the most recent trilogy, starting with 1999′s The Phantom Menace. Wherever your opinions fall with regards to the new movies, it’s hard to say a foul word against Anakin Skywalker’s (Hayden Christensen) beautifully orchestrated descent into the Dark Side of the Force. In addition to be able to witness the birth of Darth Vader, Revenge of the Sith’s climactic lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Skywalker, his former pupil, adds new context to A New Hope’s the first movie released in the series rematch saber duel.

There’s one final reason you should tune in for this weekend’s .Star Wars. marathon on MTV. On Sunday night at 11pm, right after .Episode IV. ends, you’ll be able to get some insider Hollywood scoops on the latest episode of Behind the Screen.
