Goodbye to DH.Net?

After 10 years Desiring Hayden.Net has decided to close its doors. I (Jen) do not really have time anymore to keep up with Hayden news, pictures, etc. It has been an amazing ride throughout all these years. From meeting Hayden, and his family to actually hanging out with him, was defiantly a huge highlight in my life that I will never forget. I will also never forget the supporters of DH.Net. Without you this site would be nothing. Thanks for helping me make Desiring Hayden.Net such a huge success.
I received many emails regarding the website closing, and there are some that want the site to stay up and be just an archived type site, and some friends are saying they would like to take it over. I’m torn on what to do. Just close it? Archive site, or allow others to take it over? Please be aware it was not my intention to make anyone angry, for myself it is time to move on. I still am a fan of Hayden’s and will go see his films. I just don’t want to be involved with fansites.
Anyway, give me some feedback on what you would prefer. I’m a very indecisive person, as you can see! :P

I appreciate your input regarding the site closure issue. I guess I have some more thinking to do. I don’t really want to close it because I know there are still many fans out there like myself, but at the sametime I’m kinda tired of running this site. I’m still a fan of his, and it’s not the fact news is slow. I’ve had plenty of dry spells and for some reason I just don’t have the motivation anymore. Like I said, I will think about it some more. Thanks again to everyone who commented/sent emails and for supporting this website all these years.

Welcome back to Desiring Hayden.Net! I hope you like the new main site and gallery layouts, thanks Tathy. I want to apologize for putting the site on hiatus out of the blue. It wasn’t my intention to make anyone upset, but I just felt it was necessary because of the way I had been feeling at that time. I didn’t mean to take so long getting the site back up, but I work and go to school full-time. I’m trying my best to catch up with news and images, so forgive me if I have forgotten something. I appreciate all the supporters and non supporters for that matter. Haters may not always agree about what I add on my site and what I don’t, but for the record it is my site, and if you don’t like it, feel free to hit that X on the top right of your screen. Honestly, thank you to all for the 9 years, yes 9 years this past June for support, donations, contributions, everything! I have asked 2 good friends of mine to help me with the site, so I’d like to thank them for their time and help. I won’t make this any longer as you are probably bored with reading it, but I’d like to say thanks again and happy belated 4th of July!

I would like to take the time to wish everyone, including Hayden and his family a very happy holiday from myself. I hope you all get what’s on your wish list and have a fantablous Christmas/New Year’s.
We’re going into 2011, so that means this site is on its 9th year. 9 years wow! Thank you for the Christmas cards, wishes and emails. Most of all the support! Always appreciated!

The Multimedia Archive is finally up and running. The multimedia section was getting too big, so I decided to create the media archive, merging the icon and wallpapers as well. Submissions are always welcomed, so feel free to send in your creations. Also, if you have any suggestions or questions.

The yearly big site bills are coming in (Aug 28) and I would like to kindly ask that if you are able to contribute, please consider it. I pay all the costs (hosting, domains, etc) of this very large network from my own pocket. (There are some google ads, yes, but they definitely do not cover even 10% of the cost.) I’m just putting it out there and please do not feel obliged. Thank you to everyone that has contributed in the past, it definitely helps. Thank you!
