Last night, at the CFDA awards, the Daily Transom found itself seated next to designer Richard Chai and his guest, actor Hayden Christensen. “This is quite a night out for me,” Mr. Christensen told Mr. Chai when they first sat down and the awards hadn’t started yet.

The duo arrived with an elderly woman who was escorted to sit elsewhere. It was unclear who she was.

Mr. Chai was announced as the winner of the Swarovski award for menswear designer, presented to him by actor Ed Westwick and TV personality Alexa Chung. When his name was called, Mr. Chai just said, “Wow,” and Mr. Christensen congratulated him by slapping his back. When the designer got up to the stage, he said it again: “Wow.” Among the many people he thanked was Mr. Christensen, for being his date.

When the awards were over, Mr. Christensen turned to Mr. Chai and said, “Hold on, I have to go get my grandmother.”

Hayden Christensen visited the Gol de Letra Foundation, Rio de Janeiro, on the afternoon of Wednesday, May12th. The actor, known for his role in the movie “Star Wars” was in place to know the NGO, managed by former player Rai. Source

Hayden Christensen, Canadian actor who played Anakin Skywalker, the identity of the villain Darth Vader in “Star Wars” (2005), is already in Brazil.

The actor came to Rio to attend the fashion label Lacoste is happening late on Wednesday (12) in the hall of the Hotel Copacabana Palace, in the southern Rio.

On the morning of Wednesday, he was caught photographing the view from the Fasano Hotel in Ipanema, where it is hosted. Hayden is the face of the campaign’s new fragrance of Lacoste, “Challenge”.

Actor Hayden Christensen will not escape the basic package in its passage through Rio de Janeiro. Scaled for the parade of Lacoste, which happens on Wednesday (12) in the Hotel Copacabana Palace, the star has already booked all the tours are typical of a foreigner in the Marvelous City.

The invitation of Crown brand, Michel Lacoste, Hayden arrives in Brazil to 14h this Tuesday (11). With the day off, will visit Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf, and attend a dinner specially prepared in a traditional restaurant in Rio de Janeiro.

On his first visit to the country, it will be presented by a Brazilian national team. This time, it will not bring his girlfriend, actress Rachel Bilson. Hayden will be staying in a hotel in the south of Rio and back to Los Angeles on Thursday (13).

On May 4th, ((RED) with Anonymous Content and HBO Documentary Films screened the documentary The Lazarus Effect, at a star-studded event at the Museum of Modern Art. The Lazarus Effect, is a half hour documentary airing on HBO on Monday, May 24th, 2010 at 9:00pm, which is at the center of a multi-media campaign by ((RED) to raise awareness about the impact of large scale AIDS programs at work in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Director Lance Bangs and the subjects of the documentary Constance Mudenda and Concillia Muhau were in attendance. Major celebs in attendance included: Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson and Adam Clayton of U2, Chris Rock and his wife, Malaak Compton-Rock, Hayden Christensen…..

After credits rolled, guests headed over to the Ace Hotel’s Liberty Hall for the after-party. On my way out, I saw that Hayden Christensen was surrounded by adoring fans asking for autographs.

“I lost my aunt to AIDS, just a few years ago. I’m trying to figure out right now what else I can do. We need to get people healthy and this is a treatable disease. RED gives consumers the ability to buy things to give their money to something positive It bridges the gap between consumerism and charity,” Hayden told me.
